# Foco

> Foco is a task and notes app for people juggling several jobs at once. Each task is tagged with the color of its job, so you can either see everything together (Overview) or focus on a single job (Focus mode). Foco captures input as written notes, dictation, or full meeting recordings with transcription, and offers an optional AI layer that turns notes into tasks, summarizes meetings, and answers questions about your data.

Foco is made in Spain by Legier Films. It runs as a single account across iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows and Web. Pricing is intentionally simple: €1/month for the full app (Foco plan), €20/month for the same app plus the AI layer (Foco Plus, includes 2,000 AI credits/month).

## Key concepts

- **Job** — a top-level container (e.g. "Production", "Agency", "Freelance"). Each job has a color. Every task and note belongs to one job.
- **Overview (Panorama)** — a single list with tasks from every job, sorted by date, each colored by its job. Used to know what's next across everything.
- **Focus mode** — pick one job; everything from other jobs disappears from the view. Used to make progress without noise.
- **Task** — title, optional due date, status (pending / doing / done), optional checklist items, optional notes.
- **Note** — written, voice, or "listen mode" (meeting). Voice and listen-mode notes keep both the audio and the transcription. Timestamps `[MM:SS]` in the transcription are clickable and jump the audio.
- **Search (Cmd+K / Ctrl+K)** — Spotlight-style search across tasks, notes, checklist items and jobs. Supports a Todoist-style syntax (`#Job`, `estado:`, `vence:`, `tipo:`, `tiene:`) and saved filters that sync across devices. Foco Plus users get an "Ask the AI" button that translates natural language into the search syntax.
- **Collaboration** — jobs can be shared by inviting another user. Accepted members see the job's tasks and notes; pending invitees don't.

- **Foco — €1/month** (or €10/year), with a 7-day free trial. Full app: Overview, Focus mode, tasks, notes, checklists, voice capture, voice notes, meeting recording + transcription, search with saved filters, sync across all devices.
- **Foco Plus — €20/month** (or €200/year). Everything in Foco, plus the AI layer: note-to-task with AI, meeting summaries with auto-extracted tasks, "Ask your tasks" (natural-language Q&A over your data), AI-assisted search. Includes 2,000 AI credits/month.

Credits measure AI usage — light actions cost less, heavier ones more. If credits run out the AI pauses until the next month, or the user can top up.

## Common questions

- **What makes Foco different from Todoist, Things, TickTick, Notion?** Foco is built around the assumption that you have several jobs at once, not several projects inside one job. The "job color" runs through every surface (Overview, Focus mode, search results, calendar). It also captures audio and transcribes meetings natively, which general task apps don't.
- **Is there a free trial?** Yes. The €1 plan includes a 7-day free trial — you can use the full app for a week without paying. After that it's €1/month (or €10/year). There is no permanent free tier; the price is kept intentionally low so the product can stay simple and not depend on engagement metrics.
- **Do I need the AI plan to use voice notes / meeting recording?** No. Voice notes and meeting recording with transcription are in the €1 plan. The €20 plan adds AI features on top (summaries, note-to-task, ask-your-tasks).
- **Does it work offline?** Yes. The app reads and writes locally and syncs in the background.
- **Where is my data?** On a server hosted in the EU.
