Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Foco collects, what it uses it for and how it protects it. Foco is a task and notes app operated by Legier Films ("we"). By using Foco at app.heyfoco.com you accept what is described here.

1. Data controller

Legier Films is the controller of your data. For any privacy matter you can write to hola@heyfoco.com.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: first name, last name and email used at sign-up, or provided by your social login provider.
• Content you create: jobs, tasks, lists, tags, text notes, voice notes, meeting recordings and their transcripts.
• Social login data: if you sign in with Google, Microsoft or Apple, we receive a unique account identifier, your email and your name to create or link your Foco account. We never receive your password.
• Calendar data: if you connect Google Calendar or the Microsoft calendar, we access your events as described in section 4.
• Payment data: handled by our payment provider; we never store your card numbers.
• Technical data: the minimum needed for the service to work (for example, error and sync logs).

3. Signing in with Google, Microsoft and Apple

You can create your account or sign in with Google, Microsoft or Apple. In that case we only use the identifier, email and name returned by the provider to identify you. If the email is verified and matches an existing Foco account, we link the provider to that account; otherwise we create a new account.

4. Google Calendar and Microsoft integration

Connecting a calendar is optional and you enable it yourself in settings. While connected, we use the access only to:

• Read your events to show them, read-only, overlaid on the Foco calendar.
• Write your scheduled Foco tasks (those with a date and time) as events on your calendar, and update or delete them when you change the task.

We do not read or modify events unrelated to this feature beyond displaying them. You can disconnect the calendar at any time from settings, which revokes our access and removes the stored tokens.

5. Artificial intelligence features

On the Plus plan, some features (turning notes into tasks, summarizing meetings and answering questions about your data) process the necessary content through an AI provider. That content is sent only to generate the response you request and is not used to train models. If you do not use the Plus plan, this processing does not happen.

6. How we use your data

• Provide the service: store and sync your content across your devices.
• Authenticate you and keep your session.
• Show and sync calendar events if you connect one.
• Manage your subscription and payments.
• Keep the service secure and resolve issues.

We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.

7. Who we share it with

We only share data with providers that help us operate the service, and only what is essential: the payment provider (subscriptions), Google and Microsoft (login and calendar, at your choice) and the AI provider (Plus plan only). Each one processes the data under its own terms. We may also disclose data where required by law.

8. Storage and security

Your data is hosted on our servers. Access tokens for external calendars are stored encrypted. Access is restricted and we apply reasonable measures to protect it. The app also works offline and syncs in the background.

9. Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your content from the app; deleting a note with audio also removes its file from the server. If you delete your account or ask us to, we delete your personal data except what we must keep by legal obligation.

10. Your rights

You can request to access, correct, export or delete your data, and withdraw your consent, by writing to hola@heyfoco.com. If you live in the EU, you have the rights granted by the GDPR.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the current version on this page with its update date.
