Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Foco, a task and notes app operated by Legier Films ("we"). By creating an account or using Foco you accept these terms.

1. The service

Foco lets you organize tasks and notes across several jobs at once, capture voice notes and meeting recordings with transcription, search, sync across devices and, optionally, connect your Google or Microsoft calendar and AI on the Plus plan. We may improve, change or remove features over time.

2. Your account

You need an account to use Foco. You can create it with email and password or with Google, Microsoft or Apple. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity on your account. You must provide accurate information and meet the minimum legal age to enter contracts in your country.

3. Your content

The content you create (tasks, notes, audio, transcripts) is yours. You grant us the technical permission needed to store, process and sync it in order to provide the service. You are responsible for the content you upload and for having the right to do so, including meeting audio you record and the people in it.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not use Foco for unlawful purposes or to infringe the rights of others.
• Do not attempt to breach, overload or disrupt the service.
• Do not record people where the law requires their consent and you do not have it.
• Do not upload content you have no right to store or share.

5. Third-party integrations

If you connect Google Calendar, the Microsoft calendar, or sign in with an external provider, those services' terms also apply to you. On the Plus plan you can also connect work tools such as Notion, Linear, GitHub, Jira and Asana, and use a personal Foco email address to turn forwarded emails into tasks; the terms of each connected service also apply. Every connection is optional and you can revoke it at any time from settings.

6. Plans and pricing

Foco offers a free plan and two paid plans, Foco and Foco Plus, each available with monthly or yearly billing at the prices published on the pricing page:

• Free (€0): unlimited jobs and tasks, reminders, List and Kanban views, voice notes and meeting transcription, public task links, saved filters and sync across devices.
• Foco (€4/month or €40/year): everything in Free plus the Calendar view, Google and Outlook calendar connection, sharing jobs with collaborators and assigning people to tasks.
• Foco Plus (€20/month or €200/year): everything in Foco plus the AI features (work tool connections, email to task, morning briefing, note and voice to task, meeting summaries, ask your tasks) and a monthly allowance of AI credits, currently 2,000.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel beforehand. Payments are handled through our payment provider or through the app store where you subscribed, whose terms also apply. We may change prices; a price change never applies to a period you have already paid for and will be communicated before it takes effect at renewal.

7. Plan limits and fair use

Where a plan says "unlimited", it means there is no fixed numeric cap, within reasonable, good-faith use of a platform designed for the personal productivity of one individual per account. It does not cover, for example, using Foco as bulk file storage or backup, creating content in an automated or programmatic way at scale, sharing one account among several people, reselling the service, or any usage pattern that degrades the service for other users.

We may apply technical limits (such as attachment size, recording length or request rates) to keep the service healthy for everyone. If your usage clearly exceeds reasonable use, we will normally contact you first, and we may limit, suspend or terminate the account in serious or repeated cases.

Free plan: we reserve the right to modify, restrict or remove features and limits of the free plan at any time, at our sole discretion. Paid plans: we may also evolve their features, but changes that materially reduce what your plan includes take effect at your next renewal, not during a period you have already paid for.

8. AI credits

The Foco Plus plan includes a monthly allowance of AI credits (currently 2,000). Credits measure AI usage: a light action costs little and a heavy one costs more. The allowance resets at each billing cycle and unused credits do not carry over. If you run out, AI features pause until the next cycle or until you buy additional credits in the app. The rest of the plan keeps working normally. We may adjust the size of the allowance or the cost of actions; changes to the included allowance take effect at your next renewal.

9. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time; you keep access until the end of the period already paid for. If you switch plans, the change applies as indicated at the moment of purchase. Except where applicable law provides otherwise, amounts already paid are non-refundable. Subscriptions purchased through an app store are managed and refunded under that store's rules.

10. Availability

We aim to keep the service available and secure, but it is provided "as is" and may experience interruptions or changes. We recommend keeping your own copies of important information.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or loss of data arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liabilities that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. You can delete your account at any time; doing so removes your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy, except what we must keep by law.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the current version on this page with its date. If you keep using Foco after a change, you are deemed to accept it.
