Cramming everything into the last week is the surest way to arrive tired and with gaps right where you needed them least. The problem is almost never ability, it is the lack of a plan that spreads the material ahead of time, so each day has a small, reachable goal instead of an impossible mountain the night before.
This template turns an exam or a course into a manageable sequence, from gathering the material to the final review and resting the day before. It suits preparing for a certification or a university exam, and anyone who wants to learn something on their own without giving up by week three.
From syllabus to review
These are the steps the template brings, in the order it makes sense to follow them:
- Gather all the study material in one place
- Break the syllabus into manageable blocks
- Set weekly study hours and protect them
- Summarize each topic in your own words
- Practice with past exams or exercises
- Review the weak spots you found
- General review the week before
- Rest well the day before, no cramming
How it works in Foco
On import, Foco creates the "Study" job with these tasks in the List view, grouped by date. You put a date on each syllabus block and always see what is due today and how much is left, which avoids the classic leaving-it-all-for-the-end.
Set recurrence on study sessions so they repeat on the days you reserve, add reminders a few minutes before each session, and record a voice note for any question that comes up to revisit when you review.
