When all of that lives in your head or on scattered notes, it is easy for something to stall halfway, for a quote to get lost, or for the final invoice to be double what you expected.

That is why a renovation runs far better on a board split into phases. You see at a glance where each thing stands, what is stuck waiting on a decision from you and what is already closed. This template breaks the process into four clear stages, from the first idea to the works finished and paid, so nothing moves forward without having passed through the previous one.

From the idea to the finished works

The board has four columns that walk the renovation from start to finish. Each task begins on the left and you move it to the right as it progresses.

Planning

The first stage is deciding what to do and getting a sense of where the project is heading before spending anything.

Budget

With the ideas clear, here you put numbers to it, choose what will cost money and settle on who you will work with.

The real work begins. This stage is about daily tracking and handling whatever comes up.

• Clear and protect the area before starting
• Track the progress of the works each week

Finished

The works are done, but a few last steps remain before you can call the renovation fully closed.

• Review the final result and note any pending touch-ups
• Clean and decorate the newly renovated space
• Pay the final invoice once you have checked everything is right

How it works in Foco
