A trip starts long before you leave the house, and what ruins the excitement is rarely the destination but an oversight: the expired passport you discover at the check-in desk, the activity that sold out because you did not book in time, the card blocked on your first payment abroad. Almost all of it is avoided if you think a few weeks ahead instead of the night before.

This template orders trip preparation from the big bookings down to the last details, so you reach departure day with your bag packed and no loose ends. It works for a weekend getaway as much as for a long multi-stop trip, because what changes are the dates, not the steps.

From ticket to suitcase

These are the tasks the template brings, in the order it makes sense to handle them:

  • Book flights or transport ahead of time
  • Book accommodation for every night
  • Check passport and documents (validity and visas)
  • Get travel insurance
  • Plan the day-by-day itinerary
  • Book activities and tickets that sell out
  • Exchange currency or tell your bank about the trip
  • Pack your suitcase for the destination's weather
  • Download offline maps and bookings
  • Confirm airport transfers

How it works in Foco

On import, Foco creates the "Trip" job with these tasks in the List view, grouped by date. You can put the big bookings weeks ahead and leave packing for the last days, so you always see what to do now and what can wait.

Set a reminder a few days out to check your documents, assign tasks if several of you are travelling, and store the booking number or hotel address as a voice note or photo inside the task itself so it is right there at the airport.
