OKRs exist so the whole team pushes in one direction without you having to repeat instructions. An objective says where you want to get, and key results say how you will know you got there, with numbers that leave no room for interpretation. The discipline is picking few and actually reviewing them, not filling out a sheet.

The classic mistake is setting ambitious objectives that nobody looks at until the last day of the quarter. This board keeps OKRs in sight and separates the ones still in motion from those already marked done, so anyone can see at a glance how the quarter is going.

How the board flows

The first two columns hold your objectives and their key results as a fixed reference for the quarter. The last two are status columns: each initiative lives in on track while it advances and jumps to achieved when its key result is met.

Objectives

The quarter's ambition in a few lines. These are the big aims, not the concrete tasks, so you do not lose the direction in the detail:

  • Grow the customer base as the revenue engine
  • Improve retention so growth does not leak away
  • Strengthen the brand and its recognition

Key results

The measurable half of each objective. If it cannot be counted, it does not belong here; every line carries a number that will tell if the quarter went well:

  • Add 500 new customers in the quarter
  • Lower monthly churn to 3%
  • Publish 8 case studies from real customers

On track

The active initiatives driving toward the key results. They live here while in motion and get reviewed each week:

  • Acquisition campaign running and measuring cost
  • Satisfaction survey active to read retention

Achieved

What is already closed and feeding the objective. Seeing it here builds momentum and avoids revisiting finished work:

  • Website redesign shipped
  • Referral program launched and working

How it works in Foco

On import, Foco creates the "OKR" job with these columns as a Kanban board. You drag each initiative from "On track" to "Achieved" when its key result is met; on desktop with drag and drop, on mobile by switching columns through tabs.

In Panorama you see this job's tasks alongside those from your other projects at once, each job in its own color, so the OKRs are never cut off from everything else you are running.
