The weekly meeting is either useful or a waste of time, and what usually makes the difference is having an agenda. Without one, the conversation jumps around, someone dominates, off-topic things get discussed, and by the end nobody is clear on who does what. A fixed agenda makes the meeting start and end on time and produces decisions instead of the feeling of having chatted for a while.

This template is that agenda: a repeatable running order that goes from reviewing last week's agreements to closing with clear next steps. It suits a small team syncing on Mondays and a manager leading several people who needs the same key points covered every week.

A repeatable agenda

These are the points the template brings, in the order it makes sense to cover them:

  • Review last week's action items and their status
  • Go over the team's key metrics
  • Blockers and risks slowing the work
  • Priorities for the week ahead
  • Open decisions that need closing
  • Assign new tasks with an owner
  • Close with next steps and who does each one

How it works in Foco

On import, Foco creates the "Weekly meeting" job with these points in the List view. During the meeting you tick each block as you cover it, and anything that comes up as a new task gets added on the spot without switching tools.

Set it to repeat weekly so the agenda shows up on its own, assign next steps to the responsible person with a reminder, and leave a voice note with what was agreed for anyone who could not attend.
